Meet at the upper playground by the big stump.
Quiet kids 10 and older are welcome to join the outing.

Bird Count and Tree Walk with birding expert Pete Givan, from The Backyard Naturalist. Then, record observations for the Summer Bioblitz while taking a tour of native trees in Norwood Park and along the adjacent Little Falls Stream Valley Trail.

Pete Givan, local birder and enthusiast for over 50 yrs, will lead us on a walk to discover the birds of Norwood Park for the spring count.

Annika Haksar, local ISA arborist will highlight trees as we go and let you know how to identify them.  We'll also point out which are our bird's favorites!  VIEW MAP and LIST of 52 TREE SPECIES

BRING your own binoculars and please download the Merlin and iNaturalist apps if you have a smart phone. We will use them to identify birds and their songs.
