Remove invasive vines and non-native plants (Porcelain berry, Vinca minor and English ivy). We will be uncovering native plants such as: Rough horsetail, one of the oldest plants in Maryland that existed during the Carboniferous period (280-345 million years ago), Jewelweed which attracts the Ruby-Throated Hummingbird and many native bees, and native canopy trees.

We will meet at the bottom of Yorktown Road where it dead ends into the Little Falls Branch. The closest address for GPS is 5301 Yorktown Road.
Pre-approved for MCPS SSL hours. Students under 14 years must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
